Actor Robert Englund will make an appearance at Roger Williams University this Friday for a special screening of the horror film Inkubus. Englund is perhaps best known for his scene-stealing turn as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street films.

The screening will include a discussion and Q & A session with Inkubus director Glenn Ciano and producer Chad A. Verdi. Here’s a description of Inkubus courtesy of Roger Williams University:

Created by the East Greenwich, Rhode Island-based Woodhaven Productions, “Inkubus” tells the story of a skeletoncrew working the final shift of a soon-to-be demolished police station. The night takes a gruesome turn when the demon, Inkubus – played by Englund – calmly walks into the station holding the severed head of a murdered girl and is seeking revenge on one of the officers. The film’s screenplay was penned by Carl V. Dupre of “Hellraiser: Hellseeker” and “Hellraiser: Hellworld,” and was filmed in Cranston, Rhode Island.

The “Inkubus” preview is part of FLICKERS: The Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival, running Oct. 27-30 at locations throughout the state.
