Farewell, yellow lobster

August 14, 2010

The rare yellow lobster found last month by a Rhode Island lobsterman has died in a lab at the University of Rhode Island.

The lobster, dubbed Tyler by URI staff, was found lifeless in its tank earlier this week.

URI laboratory staff say the lobster had not eaten for several days and was over-taxed by all the public attention it received prior to arriving at the lab.

A yellow lobster is said to be a one in 30-million find.
