Central Falls to rehire teachers
Central Falls High School teachers have signed an agreement that allows them to return to work in September. They will make an extra $3,000 a year for a longer school day and an hour a week of tutoring afterschool.
The agreement contains many of the demands district leaders made in February when they could not reach agreement with the teachers’ union. Teachers say they’re happy to keep their jobs, and they feel the 3-year pact gives them a stronger voice in re-designing the school.
