The Ram’s new head basketball coach is making at least $600,000 a year. According to University officials, Dan Hurley has signed a 6-year contract with annual base pay of $300,000, plus another $300,000 guaranteed from ticket sales and other athletic department revenues.
URI says the deal is in line with what basketball coaches make at comparable schools. The university calls the salary package in the “middle range” for the Atlantic 10 athletic conference.
