How Cranston complied with the judge's order

Cranston is waiting to hear whether the school committee will appeal a judge’s ruling that a school prayer is unconstitutional.

Cranston High School West has covered up the school prayer with a wooden panel and a class banner. The school board votes next Thursday on whether to pursue an appeal.

Meanwhile… A Cranston West alum has been selling t-shirts with the full text of the prayer.

Bobby Bach of Twigs Florist says he will use proceeds from the t-shirt sales to preserve the prayer mural and re-install it in a new location. Hundreds of parents and students have purchased the shirts, and many are wearing them to show support for an appeal.
