Schilling tapped for commencement speech
March 4, 2011
The New England Institute of Teachnology has invited former Red Sox pitcher turned video game entrepreneur Curt Schilling to address this year’s graduates. The president of the Warwick-based school says Schilling “has the right formula for success.”
Schilling is in the process of moving his video game company, 38 Studios, from Massachusetts to Rhode Island. The move has been controversial because of a $75 million loan guarantee offered by state officials. Critics say the company doesn’t have the track record to justify the loan.
